On October 28, 2013, a meeting took place in the recently-opened Atiqua Center for Progressive Judaism in Kyiv between the Deputy Assistant Secretary in the USA Bureau of European and Eurasian Affairs Eric Rubin and the Euro-Asian Jewish Congress General Council Chairman Josef Zisels and EAJC General Council member r. Alex Dukhovny. 

The EAJC representatives gave a detailed report on the Ukrainian Jewish situation, including Jewish organizations, anti-Semitic displays, and attempts to use themes of xenophobia and anti-Semitism to manipulate Ukrainian social and political life.
