		 UNESCO: how did the 27 EU member states vote ?02.11.2011, International Organizations Five European Union  member states voted 'No' Monday on admitting Palestine as full member of UNESCO, the United Nations body for culture, science and education: Germany, Lithuania, the Czech Republic, Holland and Sweden.Eleven countries voted 'Yes': France, Austria, Belgium, Spain, Finland, Greece, Ireland, Malta, Slovenia.
 Eleven countries abstained: Britain, Italy, Bulgaria, Denmark, Estonia, Romania, Hungary, Poland (the country which currently holdsthe EU presidency), Latvia, Portugal and Slovakia.
 The official EU position is opposed to Palestinian unilateral moves and calls for a resumption of direct Israeli-Palestinian peace talks.
