It is with great sadness that the leaders and workers of the Euro-Asian Jewish Congress have learned of the passing of Efim Gologorsky, Chairman of the Moscow Public Organization of Jewish Survivors of Ghettos and Concentration Camps, Euro-Asian Jewish Congress General Council member, veteran worker of the USSR Ministry of Energy, Power Engineer Emeritus.

The Euro-Asian Jewish Congress received the news of the deaths of people on board the Tu-154 airplane which crashed over the Black Sea with great sadness.

Euro-Asian Jewish Congress (EAJC) Deputy Secretary General, head of the Israeli EAJC office Haim Ben Yakov has participated in an anniversary Limmud conference, which took place in Eilat (Israel).

On November 9, members and founders of the famous Ukrainian Helsinki Group met with the President of Ukraine, Petro Poroshenko. The meeting was held in honor of the 40th anniversary of this human rights group, which was founded as the “Ukrainian Public Group to Promote the Implementation of the Helsinki Accords on Human Rights” and fought for human rights in the Soviet Union despite being threatened with imprisonment, forced psychiatric treatment, concentration camps, and death.
